The greatest competitor to Facebook would be the original Facebook. It has become so complex and full of features that the simplicity and focus of the original I do believe would prevail. So why not go back? Why not go back to the original, simple, beautiful, pure edition?

Introducing True 25, what social media was, and what it would have fully become if we’d remained on a true path.

“Social Media” for only the 25 closest people in your life. A timed feed for all things regarding those people — their votes on wants, their reactions to stories, their posts throughout the day — every movement by those you love most.

Somewhere along the line, we came to believe we shouldn’t discuss the things we care most about with the people we care most about. Or perhaps we stopped unintentionally. Is this not so clearly a step backward?

In regard to what we believe, if there is anyone who is capable of showing us why we are wrong, is it not those we love and who love us most? In regard to the great things that happen to us, who better to share that with than those closest to us? In regard to the worst things, who better than those closest?

Would you rather have all the love and care that exists for you split among 1,000 people, or 25? Obviously 25.

Then why are the social media platforms we use the way they are?

Social media, whether we recognize it or not, has an impact on who we want to be. Social media is therefore, a place to help us decide who to be. How can we be okay with a place so significant to our single lives having advertisements? Having content for reasons other than truth.

A place where we go to see who to be is filled with ads.

When you only take in the outputs of your 25 closest, you aren’t being advertised to, your inputs more closely represent the truth of reality. Don’t you see how an advertisement is a hack to reality?

The evolution of one’s 25 — The family that you don’t choose, The friends that you do choose, The family that you do choose, The family that you create.
